GAGA

Much has been said about Lady Gaga's Vogue US cover, some say the magazine is elitist and shouldn't have her on their cover, some say Anna Wintour is goilng too mainstream for the fashion masses. While she may have have appeared on Vogue Nippon and Elle covers, there's no denying Lady Gaga is the Madonna of our generation all about the shock and awe.LOVE it!

New Product Launch Alert: Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain

I personally can't wait for this product to land in my vanity case. Offlate I have been obsessed with all things lip related, from balms to lipglosses. A big deal for me as nothing other than good ole vaseline could stay on my lips for more than 5 minutes. The Revlon lipstain seems like the ideal solution for me, the lipstick virgin. Other than MAC here hasn't been any lipstain presence in the Indian market and Revlon aims to counter just this. Whether light or dark, the colour intensity can be adjusted by mere pressure and application. The product comes with a lipbalm on the other end, surely packing a punch!
Priced at Rs 750

Tom Ford Spring Summer Eyewear Campaign: Abbey Lee Kershaw

Spring summer campaigns are upon us, and the biased person that I am have posted Tom Ford's eyewear campaign featuring the 'it' model Abbey Lee Kershaw. The campaign takes a departure from his usal sexual in your face imagery. I love it. The sunglasses on the left, I want to own!
Fabulous.

2011 Fresh Crop of Covers

It's been a busy December. However it's now 2011 and I bring to you the latest crop of covers.
Padma Lakshmi is on the 3rd ever 'Shape' issue for Vogue. I don't get why Vogue with the exception of Cindy Crawford issue gets their international star covers wrong.
Harper's Bazaar got the beautiful Karishma Kapoor on their cover, albeit heavily photoshopped. Why must they do that to her?

The Last Resort

Resort is a relatively unknown a few years ago in India, however with Lakme India Fashion introducing Resort wear lines. As the name suggests this line is designed specifically for holidays ( read St. Tropez or St. Barts) and hits stores before a little before the holiday season.
I love the understated glamour and easy chic vibe resort wear gives out.Unusual pairings have totally inspired me to reinvent my wardrobe. I'm taking a cue from Doo Ri's line (pic 1 ) by pairing a draped dress with a blazer. Textured skirt and jacket from Viktor and Rolf (pic 3) Coloured pop jackets and shorts from Dsquared (pic 5) Sleek minimalism from Celine. God bless you Pheobe! Colour blocking seen at Moschino , florals on florals at Kenzo and lastly my favourite collection has to be Jason Wu and the opening look, a white blouse buttoned to the top and shorts so effortless so fab!
